Module 1

The altar

“And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children.”

Deuteronomy 6:6–7

Read: Deuteronomy 6:4–9 · Joshua 24:15

Before Israel had a temple, the family had an altar. God’s plan for passing faith down the generations was not a program. It was parents who loved God with everything and talked about Him at the table, on the road, at bedtime, and at breakfast.

If the Word is not in your heart, you cannot teach it diligently. Leading your home starts with you being led. Then it becomes the air your house breathes.

Wrestle with it

  • When was the last time your household opened the Bible together?
  • Do the people in your home know what you believe because you have told them, or only because they have guessed?

The charge

Open the Word with your household tonight. Five minutes. One chapter. Then pray.

02

Module 2

Order

“Let all things be done decently and in order.”

1 Corinthians 14:40

Read: Ephesians 5:21–33 · Colossians 3:18–21

God designed the home with order in it. Husbands love like Christ, giving themselves up. Wives honor and support. Children obey. Parents do not provoke. This is not a hierarchy of worth. It is a formation for the fight. Everyone has a post.

A home without order is a home the enemy walks through freely. Chaos, resentment, and neglect are open gates. Take your post, and make it easy for the others to take theirs.

Wrestle with it

  • Where has your home drifted into chaos because no one took their post?
  • What does it look like for you, specifically, to love as Christ loved the church?

The charge

Identify one gate that is open in your home and shut it this week.

Module 3

Provide and protect

“But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”

1 Timothy 5:8

Read: 1 Timothy 5:8 · Nehemiah 4:13–14 · Proverbs 24:27

Nehemiah set families along the wall with swords and told them to fight for their brothers, their sons and daughters, their wives, and their houses. Providing for your home means more than a paycheck. It means guarding what comes into the house, who influences your children, and what shapes your marriage.

You cannot protect what you do not pay attention to. Know what is on the screens. Know who the friends are. Know where your spouse is hurting. Then stand there with your sword.

Wrestle with it

  • What is coming into your home that you have not been guarding against?
  • Where are you providing money but not presence?

The charge

Take inventory tonight: screens, friendships, schedules. Name the threat and address it.

Module 4

Blessing

“The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: the LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee.”

Numbers 6:24–25

Read: Numbers 6:22–27 · Genesis 48:8–20 · Mark 10:13–16

Fathers in Scripture blessed their children out loud, with hands on them. Jesus took children in His arms and blessed them. Your household needs to hear from you what God says about them, in your voice.

The enemy speaks curses over your family all week: you are not enough, you are alone, this will never change. Answer him. Speak the blessing of the Lord over your spouse and your children until they can say it back.

Wrestle with it

  • When did the people in your home last hear you bless them by name?
  • What curse has been spoken over your family that needs to be answered?

The charge

Pray Numbers 6:24–26 over each person in your home tonight, by name, with your hand on them.
