Study the Bible · Everything the Bible says about one thing

Topical Recon

Fear. Anger. Money. Marriage. Lust. Forgiveness. When one subject is beating you, find out God’s whole mind on it, not one verse. Gather every passage you can, read them in context, and write down what they say together. This is how you build a fortress around a weak spot.

    The topic

    What are you studying?

One word or a short phrase. The thing you are actually fighting is a good choice.

  2. 02

    Gather the verses

Search the topic and the words around it.

Search “fear,” then “afraid,” then “courage.” Add every passage that speaks to it. Read each in its chapter.

  3. 03

    God’s mind on it

Put the passages together. What does God say?

Commands. Promises. Warnings. What He does about it. Write a paragraph you could hand to a brother.

  4. 04

    Orders

What are you going to do about it?

One verse to memorize and one action this week.

  5. 05

    Prayer

Pray the passage back to God.

Thank Him for what it showed you. Confess where it caught you. Ask for the strength to do it.
