Armor Up · Ephesians 6:10–18

Suit up.

No warrior walks into the fight half-dressed. Six pieces, every morning, nothing left off. Read each verse, pray each piece on, and check it. Finish all six and today counts as armored.

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

Ephesians 6:13

01

Belt of Truth

“Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth.”

Ephesians 6:14

Pray it on

Lord, gird me with Your truth today. Let no lie about You, about me, or about the fight take hold. Hold everything in place.

02

Breastplate of Righteousness

“And having on the breastplate of righteousness.”

Ephesians 6:14

Pray it on

Father, cover my heart with the righteousness of Christ, not my own. Guard it against accusation and against my own compromise.

03

Shoes of the Gospel of Peace

“And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.”

Ephesians 6:15

Pray it on

Jesus, make me ready to move. Wherever You send my feet today, let me carry Your peace and Your good news.

04

Shield of Faith

“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”

Ephesians 6:16

Pray it on

Lord, I raise the shield of faith. Every dart of fear, doubt, and temptation the enemy fires today, put it out.

05

Helmet of Salvation

“And take the helmet of salvation.”

Ephesians 6:17

Pray it on

Father, guard my mind with the certainty that I am saved. I belong to You. Nothing can take me out of Your hand.

06

Sword of the Spirit

“And the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

Ephesians 6:17

Pray it on

Holy Spirit, put Your Word in my mouth and in my hands. Let me answer every lie with what is written.

Then

Pray always.

Every piece so far has been armor. Prayer is how it is put on and how it is kept on. When the sixth piece is on, stay a minute and pray for the saints.

“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

Ephesians 6:18
